An Amount of ₹63.24 Crore Released To More Than 1.91 lakh Beneficiaries Under The Second Phase of The Chief Minister’s Mother Daughters Satkar Yojana – DPO

Under the Chief Minister’s Mothers and Daughters Satkar Yojana launched by the Punjab Government with the aim of strengthening the social and economic status of women, the work of paying the installments of July, August and September through Direct Deposit Transfer (DBT) into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries is continuing continuously.

Giving information in this regard, District Program Officer (DPO), Patiala, Pardeep Singh Gill said that under the second phase of the scheme, ₹45,73,38,000/- has been sent to 1,52,446 general category beneficiaries of Patiala district and ₹17,50,72,500/- has been sent directly (DBT) to 38,905 Scheduled Caste (SC) category beneficiaries in their bank accounts.

He said that this public welfare scheme of the Punjab Government is an important step towards social and economic empowerment of women by providing financial assistance to them.

Mr. Pardeep Singh Gill said that the benefit of Mukhya Mantri Mawan Dhian Satkar Yojana is given only to those women who fulfill the eligibility conditions prescribed by the government. He said that the age of the beneficiary must be 18 years or above. Apart from this, the beneficiary should not be a retired government pensioner in any government department, board, corporation or other government institution. The beneficiary should not have paid income tax during the last financial year. Apart from this, the beneficiary himself or his spouse should not be a Member of Parliament (MP), MLA (MLA) or any other constitutional or elected public representative. He appealed to all the eligible beneficiaries that if anyone needs any information or assistance regarding the scheme, they can contact their nearest Anganwadi Center, CDPO Office or District Program Office, Patiala.
