Chandigarh , September 02 – In order to commemorate 25 years of dedicated public service and transformative good governance by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in Haryana, ‘ Seva Sankalp Abhiyan ‘ will be celebrated from September 17 to October 17 , 2026. The objective of this month-long campaign is to promote public participation , provide benefits of welfare schemes to eligible citizens and take government services to the grassroots level.
Chief Secretary Mr. Anurag Rastogi chaired a meeting here today to review the preparations for the campaign and directed the concerned departments to ensure that the programs are organized in a coordinated , time-bound and effective manner.
The major part of the campaign will be ‘ Seva Setu – Government at your doorstep ‘ . Under this , camps will be organized at block and assembly constituency levels , where citizens will be informed about various welfare schemes of the Central and State Governments and also assistance will be provided to the eligible beneficiaries to avail the benefits of the schemes on the spot.
There is a plan to set up ‘ Seva Setu Kendra ‘ in every block and assembly constituency . At these centres , citizens will be provided with information about the schemes , assistance in the application process and necessary support to avail the benefits. The aim is to ensure that eligible beneficiaries do not have to make repeated visits to government offices. The Chief Secretary directed the departments to prepare block-wise programmes , appoint nodal officers and keep a beneficiary database ready for reaching out to the targeted beneficiaries.
To ensure the participation of youth and children, a nationwide painting and elocution competition will also be organized from September 17 to October 7. In this, students will present their creative expression on topics related to the country’s development achievements and aspirations for a better future.
Commissioner and Secretary, Information , Public Relations , Language and Culture Department, Shri K.M. Pandurang said that under ‘ Seva Mera Kavitaan ‘ , citizens will be motivated to participate in service activities at their homes , neighborhoods , villages , schools , workplaces and public places . Under the campaign , 25 service activities will be organized including blood donation , plantation , sanitation , health camps , visits to orphanages and old age homes , educational assistance to underprivileged children , women’s health and hygiene , nutrition and anemia awareness , road safety , water conservation , waste segregation , cyber security , sports activities and assistance to the disabled .
Under the campaign , stories of service works , welfare schemes and development will be conveyed to the common people through street plays through ‘ Namo Seva Gatha ‘ . These programs will be organized at schools -colleges , panchayats , community centers and other public places .
Director of Information , Public Relations , Language and Culture Department Dr. Aditya Dahiya said that ‘ Aangan Da Utsav ‘ will be organized from September 25 to October 7. Activities related to awareness of children , mothers , nutrition , health and various welfare schemes will be organized in Anganwadi centers. State level officers of Health and Education departments will coordinate its implementation and monitoring , while district level officers will monitor the arrangements at the local level .
During the campaign , a ‘ National Innovation Challenge ‘ will also be launched to encourage the creative and technological potential of the youth of the country . Under this, young entrepreneurs , technologists and students will be motivated to develop useful and scalable solutions related to digital solutions and good governance at the grassroots level .
The month-long campaign will culminate with a grand ‘ Jan Sevak Mahakumbh ‘ to be held in the capital Delhi on October 17. Around 1.25 lakh elected representatives , including village sarpanches , representatives of urban bodies and public representatives at the state and national levels , are planned to participate in it. A mass singing of all six antars of Vande Mataram is also proposed on the occasion.
During the meeting, the Chief Secretary directed to appoint nodal officers for all activities , assign clear responsibilities , ensure effective coordination among departments and regular monitoring.
The objective of ‘ Seva Sankalp Abhiyan ‘ is to bring government services closer to the citizens , connect eligible beneficiaries with welfare schemes and widen public participation through community service activities in Haryana.

Kumar , Commissioner and Secretary, Women and Child Development Department, Mr. Shekhar Vidyarthi , Additional Director (Administration), Information , Public Relations and Languages Department, Mr. Vivek Kalia , Joint Director, Mr. Manav Malik and other senior officers.
