Chandigarh , September 17 – The Horticulture Department of the Government of Haryana is organizing five-day training programs for the benefit of farmers for the year 2026-27 at the Fruit Excellence Center located at Mangeana in Sirsa district. Interested farmers from all districts of the state can apply online for this training by visiting the official website of the Horticulture Department kaushal.hortharyana.gov.in .
According to an official spokesperson , these training programmes will be organised on various dates between October and December 2026 , with the main subject being nursery management and orchard management. The number of seats in each training batch has been fixed at 20 and the selection will be done on a first come , first served basis . To participate in the training, the applicant should be between 18 and 60 years of age and must be a permanent resident of Haryana.
However , the spokesperson specifically clarified that non-resident operators running nurseries in Haryana can also apply for nursery management training , as this training is mandatory for obtaining a nursery license.
The facility of overnight stay and food and drink will be completely free for the trainees selected by the department during the training. The selected farmers will have to bring with them Aadhaar card , photocopy of family identity card , passport size photograph and necessary original documents. The spokesperson also clarified that the duration of the training can be changed or extended due to administrative reasons.
