Chandigarh | Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab media in-charge Baltej Pannu has taken a sharp dig at the fake police advisory being circulated after the murder of Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Harjit Singh, clarifying that the audio is completely fake. He has questioned Congress leader Amarinder Singh Raja Warring and Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia for circulating the audio without verifying its authenticity or facts.
Talking to the media, AAP Punjab media in-charge Baltej Pannu said, “This is completely fake. This is a fake audio, which they are continuously tweeting and sharing without seeing, knowing or verifying.”
He claimed, “Raja Warring did not see this as an issue related to a woman, and neither did Bikram Singh Majithia see this matter. Perhaps they did not see it because they did not want to see it. This is a fake audio, which they are continuously forwarding and tweeting without knowing the facts and without checking it.”
Punjab Police termed the alleged advisory as fake
The Punjab Police Headquarters has also issued a fact-check, clarifying that no such advisory has been issued. The Punjab Police said, “No advisory has been issued by the Punjab Police Headquarters or any of its Punjab Police offices instructing police personnel not to wear uniforms or to wear plain clothes while coming or going to duty.”
