Taking the issue of illegal charging of money from the general public and buyers in the outdoor parking of AC Market, the main commercial hub of the royal city of Patiala, seriously, Mayor Kundan Gogia has shared an important information. The Mayor, while appealing to the city residents to be vigilant, has clarified that at present no contract for outdoor parking has been given to any private contractor or individual and neither is anyone allowed to charge fees there.

Mayor Kundan Gogia said that the entire process of parking contract by the Municipal Corporation Patiala is done with complete transparency through e-tendering. There, the parking fee is being collected as per the rules of the Corporation and the revenue collected from it is directly deposited in the government account of the Municipal Corporation. On the contrary, no person has been posted by the Corporation in the outside or outside parking.
