Chandigarh , October 21 – Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that the work of laying water tanks , boosting stations and pipelines is being done to provide sufficient quantity of clean drinking water to the citizens of the state . Apart from this , the floors of all water tanks and boosting stations are being made of RCC , so that there is no leakage of water from them .
The Chief Minister was chairing a meeting of the High Powered Purchase Committee and High Powered Works Purchase Committee in Chandigarh on Wednesday .
Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda , Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana , Public Health Minister Ranbir Gangwa and Irrigation Minister Smt. Shruti Chaudhary were also present in the meeting .
The Chief Minister approved the execution of 13 works of the Public Health Department worth about Rs 419.34 crore with an amount of Rs 399.85 crore . These works have resulted in a saving of Rs 19.49 crore . These include the cleaning of sewer lines through CIPP technology . With this modern technology , there is no need to dig the sewer line and the work of repairing it is done from within the existing line itself .
In Rohtak city , Rs 15.90 crore will be spent on spiral lining and RCC of the major sewer line from Gandhi Nagar to main Jhajjar Road . Apart from this , the repair and renovation of other damaged sewer lines will be done at a cost of Rs 17.25 crore . Similarly , Rs 16 crore will be spent on the work of RCC of the sewer line in Singhpura and Rs 15 crore will be spent on the repair of the sewer line at Sukhpura Chowk , Rohtak .
In Shahzadpur , Ambala , laying of sewerage line , construction of 3 MLD STP , laying of drinking water line and other works will be done at a cost of Rs . 48 crore . Similarly, in Jagadhri city , reconstruction of sewerage line and laying of new line will be done at a cost of Rs . 24 crore . Apart from this, construction of canal for canal based water body in Dhanuri , construction of 2 MLD STP and other works will be spent at a cost of Rs. 42.50 crore .
In the meeting , approval was given to spend Rs 31.50 crore for making the tank bottom of the main water reservoir of Ratia city RCC and for other works . 10 MLD in Hisar city .
