Deputy Commissioner of Patiala Dr. Himanshu Agarwal has instructed the Health Department not to use any loopholes to provide better health services to the residents of the district as per the targets of the Punjab government. Dr. presiding over the meeting of District Health Society today. Himanshu Agarwal instructed to speed up fogging, door to door larva checking and penalizing dengue mosquito larvae to prevent dengue and mosquito diseases in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner said regular water testing should be conducted in coordination with local governments and the Sanitation Department on Water Supply to protect citizens from diseases caused by contaminated water. They said that special monitoring should be kept in areas with potentially contaminated water and awareness should be taken as well as necessary precautions.
While reviewing the TB prevention program in the district, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized on providing balanced diet kits to TB patients, strengthening treatment facilities and regular testing. They also instructed girls up to 14 years of age to ensure vaccination to prevent cervical cancer and raise awareness to prevent heat flu.
ਡਾ. Himanshu Agarwal instructed doctors to increase public awareness and win trust among patients in Aam Aadmi Clinics with low OPD to increase the number of patients. He said that the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has given special priority to the health sector, so the district administration is fully committed to providing standard health facilities to the patients. Gave instructions to ensure the quality of services at all levels while reviewing those various health plans.
ਡਾ. Himanshu Agarwal instructed the health department to work more effectively in identifying drug affected persons and connecting them to drug addiction and rehabilitation services under the ‘War on Drugs’ campaign. They said that awareness activities against drugs should be intensified and the youth should be made aware about the ill-effects of drugs.
The Deputy Commissioner reviewing the Chief Minister Health Plan instructed to ensure maximum benefits to eligible beneficiaries under the scheme. So the registration of citizens should be increased. They said special efforts should be taken to provide people with standard health services close to their homes and raise awareness about health screenings.
They also reviewed the PCPNDT Act, infant mortality rate, CM Cancer Relief Fund Scheme and other health schemes. On this occasion ADC (Urban Development) Navrit Kaur Sekhon, Dr. Vikas Goyal, Dr. Kushaldeep Kaur Gill, MD Jaswinder Singh, Dr. Sumit Singh, Dr. Group SMO’s and other related officials were present including Balkar Singh.
