Additional District Magistrate Anuprita Johal has issued various restraint orders within the limits of District Patiala using the rights obtained under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Code 2023. These orders will be in effect from June 6, 2026 to August 5, 2026.
Ban on protest and rallies in 1 district
Additional District Magistrate Anuprita Johal has issued prohibition of any kind of demonstration/protest within the limits of District Patiala, prohibiting meetings, shouting slogans, gathering of five or more persons. The orders will remain in force until August 5.
Ban issued on climbing water tanks in 2 districts
Additional District Magistrate Anuprita Johal has banned climbing on water tanks built within the limits of District Patiala (village and cities) for some kind of display. These orders will be in effect from June 6, 2026 to August 5, 2026.
Prohibition orders issued on bathing in 3 Bhakhra and other big small canals
Additional District Magistrate Anuprita Johal banned bathing and swimming of the public at any place in the Bhakhra Canal and other large small rivers flowing through various places within the limits of Patiala using the rights obtained under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Code 2023 Orders have been issued. The Additional District Magistrate has ordered to take legal action against the person who violated these orders. These orders will be in effect from June 6, 2026 to August 5, 2026.
Complete ban on selling 4 gutka, paan masala and intoxicating flavors
Smt. Anuprita Johal, Additional District Magistrate of Patiala, has distributed Gutka, Paan Masala and other edible items containing tobacco and nicotine or various narcotic substances within the limits of District Patiala using the rights obtained under Section 163 of Indian Civil Security Code 2023 Order has been issued to complete prohibition on selling/serving any hookah bar hotel/restaurant etc. by mixing edibles or otherwise narcotic substances in different flavours etc. These orders will remain in force till August 5.
