Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and MLA Ajitpal Singh Kohli has praised the people-friendly policies of the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and said that the Mann government has truly respected the mothers and daughters of the state. He said that the government has fulfilled the promises made to women during the elections with full dedication and has successfully fulfilled the historic guarantee of depositing monthly financial assistance in the bank accounts of women of the state.
Talking to reporters, MLA Kohli said that the Aam Aadmi Party is the only political party in the country that does what it says. He said that the previous governments always used women only as a vote bank and forgot their needs after the elections. On the contrary, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s government has taken concrete steps to empower women and make them economically self-reliant as soon as it came to power.
MLA Kohli said that this decision of the government has created a huge wave of enthusiasm and happiness among the women of the state. With this financial assistance, mothers and daughters will no longer have to depend on anyone else for their small needs. He said that the opposition parties, which once called this guarantee impossible, have now become accountable after seeing the performance of the Mann government. He claimed that in the coming time also, the Punjab government will continue to take similar historic decisions for the all-round development of the state and the welfare of the people.
Ajitpal Singh Kohli emphasized that the Mann government is working day and night for the welfare of not only women but also every section of the society. Mentioning the major achievements of the government, he said that the electricity bill of about 90 percent of the households in Punjab is now zero, which has benefited the women of the house the most, as the burden on their household budget has reduced. Thousands of youth have been given government jobs on the basis of pure merit, without any bribe or recommendation, including a large number of girls.
Initiatives like ‘Aam Aadmi Clinic’ and ‘School of Eminence’ have ensured quality education and free treatment for children from ordinary families. MLA Kohli said, “The Aam Aadmi Party government is the only government in the country that has risen above conventional politics and worked to uplift the living standards of the common people. Fulfilling the guarantee of depositing money in the accounts of mothers and daughters is proof that our intentions are clear.”
