Chandigarh, July 8 – Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini has made a big announcement today with the aim of promoting natural farming in the state. He said that a ‘Prakriti Shri Anna Prerak Kisan Committee’ will be formed in the state, this committee will be in every district. The main task of this committee will be to contact the farmers, visit their fields and coordinate with the government to connect them with natural farming. In a way, they will be the ‘ambassadors’ of natural farming.
Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini was addressing the ‘Kudriti Kheti Samvad’ organized by the Haryana Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department in Panchkula on Wednesday. During this, he also interacted with the farmers. The Chief Minister also assured to work towards fulfilling the suggestions received from the farmers at the earliest. Along with this, he directed the officials of the Agriculture Department to issue subsidy to the farmers who have applied for subsidy to purchase cows for natural farming.
Addressing the program, Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini said that natural farming is not just a way of farming, but a campaign to strengthen the broken relationship between farmers, nature and society. It is a service to Mother Earth, reducing the cost of farming, conserving water and soil and a source of secure future for the coming generations. He appealed to the farmers to become brand ambassadors of natural farming and said that now is not just the time to think, but to act and inspire others to do the same.
The Chief Minister said that the state government will interact directly with the farmers from time to time and continuous efforts will be made to take this campaign of natural farming to the masses. He directed the officials to organize such dialogue programs on natural farming every month. He said that Gujarat Governor Acharya Shri Devvrat will also be invited in the big seminars so that the farmers can benefit from his experiences.
He said that today’s seminar is not just an opportunity to learn the techniques of natural farming, but a campaign to strengthen the centuries-old unbreakable relationship between farmers and nature. Earlier, agriculture was associated with Mother Earth and Mother Cow. This relationship used to bring prosperity in the life of the farmer, but with time this relationship weakened and today natural disasters and environmental crises are posing a big challenge before us.
The Chief Minister said that man has developed, but somewhere he has also misused the earth too much. Today the question is not that there is a shortage of fertilizers and pesticides,
