Patiala: Under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 campaign by the Election Commission of India, special camps will be organized at all polling booths in Patiala district on July 19 (Sunday). Giving this information, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Patiala Dr. Himanshu Agarwal said that these camps will be held from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. He said that along with these camps at polling booths, these camps will also be organized at the Deputy Commissioner’s office and all SDM offices for the convenience of voters.
Dr. Himanshu Agarwal said that as per the guidelines of the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab, these special camps are being organized for the convenience of those voters who have not yet submitted their enumeration forms for any reason. He appealed to all eligible voters to take advantage of this opportunity and reach their nearest polling booth and fill the enumeration forms and submit them along with the required documents.
The District Election Officer said that the BLOs whose 100 percent digitization has been completed will coordinate with the BLAs to focus on resolving the documents and deficiencies, while the remaining BLOs will ensure the receipt of the enumeration forms as well as their digitization.
Dr. Agarwal said that for the special camps, all the recognized political parties have also been appealed to motivate maximum eligible voters to participate in this process. He said that the district administration will personally monitor the special camps and ensure that the entire process is completed in a timely and smooth manner.
