Ambala: The police-administration ended the protest of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (Chaduni Group) at the Shambhu Toll Plaza in Ambala in one and a half hours. The farmers caught during the protest were taken into custody by the police and removed from the spot, after which the toll plaza was completely evacuated.

The Charuni Group had made a big announcement to go to Delhi Kisan Ghat tomorrow, i.e. Tuesday, after which this action has come to light. The farmers also say that they are strongly opposing the government’s trade agreement with the US. In this regard, today the farmers suddenly camped at the Shambhu Toll Plaza and completely stopped the traffic. Currently, a large number of police forces are deployed at Shambhu Toll and the situation remains tense.
The farmers are adamant on their demands and the release of Gurnam Singh Charuni. Farmers from Punjab have also started reaching Shambhu Toll. The administration seems to be fully prepared regarding the farmers’ protest and jam at Shambhu Toll Plaza in Ambala. Clarifying the situation on this matter, Ambala DSP Jagbir Singh told the media that the police are continuously monitoring the situation and alternative arrangements are being made to run the traffic smoothly.
DSP Jagbir Singh said that after talking to the farmers, one side of the road from Amritsar to Delhi has been cleared. Along with this, the road on the other side will also be cleared of farmers soon so that the traffic can return to normal.
