Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is providing employment opportunities to youth while according priority to the welfare of women and children. As part of this initiative, OSD Sukhveer Singh handed over appointment letters to 14 newly appointed Anganwadi workers and extended his best wishes to them.
Congratulating the appointees, OSD Sukhveer Singh said Anganwadi workers are an important link between the government and people and play a vital role in delivering services related to children’s health, nutrition, early education and overall development at the grassroots level.
He said the healthy and holistic development of children is essential for building a strong society. Providing nutrition, healthcare and early development facilities through Anganwadi centres remains an important priority of the government. He urged the newly appointed workers to view their responsibilities not merely as a job but as an opportunity to serve society.
OSD Sukhveer Singh said the Punjab Government is continuously providing employment opportunities to youth through merit-based and transparent recruitment processes. The objective is to make youth self-reliant while strengthening the state’s public welfare system.
He urged the Anganwadi workers to discharge their duties with honesty, dedication and commitment and ensure that the benefits of government welfare schemes reach every eligible beneficiary.
The newly appointed workers thanked the Punjab Government and OSD Sukhveer Singh, describing their appointments as both an employment opportunity and a chance to serve women and children.
Chief Minister’s Field Officer Arvind Kumar, Waqf Board Member Dr. Anwar Bhasaur and Councillor Pushpinder Sharma were also present.
