NEW DELHI | The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) called out the BJP’s politics of hatred for the mob killing of a Manipuri musician in Delhi. Reacting strongly to the murder, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal and several senior party leaders called out the BJP and its government.

Calling the incident extremely unfortunate, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal said on X, “This is extremely unfortunate. Forget taking swift and exemplary action against the guilty, often the accused belong to their own party and the entire machinery starts protecting the guilty. A common citizen is now finding himself helpless against their party and government.”

Meanwhile, AAP senior leader and former Punjab Prabhari Manish Sisodia stated on X, “Manipur’s musician Chongtham Vikram Singh had been living in Delhi for 10 years. He objected to the noise happening outside his house at night and was beaten to death. Atrocities have been ongoing in Manipur for three years now, and even Manipuris are not safe in the capital Delhi. The double-engine government has failed to provide law and order there, nor here. Why does the BJP harbor so much hatred in its heart for the people of Manipur?”

AAP National Media in-charge Anurag Dhanda said, “The murder is a result of the situation that has developed in the North East and the BJP’s failure to handle it. The BJP has spread hatred within society against people from the North East and against people belonging to different communities and religions, and this murder is a consequence of the same. The BJP is working to break all the threads of love that exist in this country. But now people have understood the BJP’s true face and have started speaking out openly against it.”

Meanwhile, senior AAP leader and Kondli MLA Kuldeep Kumar expressed disappointment over Delhi’s poor law and order situation and said, “I don’t know anymore who is safe in Delhi now. No one knows whose, when, and where murder might happen in the country’s capital! In Delhi, under the BJP’s four-engine government, law and order has completely collapsed, and jungle rule has been established.”

Kuldeep Kumar further stated, “Whether it’s the beating-to-death of a teacher from Manipur or the murders happening daily in Delhi; these incidents clearly show that criminals no longer fear the law. If people’s lives aren’t safe in the country’s capital, then what responsibility is the BJP’s four-engine government actually taking?”
