Sunam, July 19:
In line with the Punjab Government’s commitment, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, to provide greater employment opportunities for the youth and create a conducive environment for job creation, a Mega Job Fair will be organised at Sunam on July 20, 2026.
Punjab Employment Generation, Skill Development, Industry and Commerce Minister, Aman Arora, through a video message, urged young men and women across the state to make the most of this golden opportunity.
Cabinet Minister Aman Arora said that the Punjab Government has already provided more than 68,000 government jobs purely on the basis of merit, without any recommendation or bribery.
He added that, besides government employment, the private industrial sector is also a major source of employment for the youth. Keeping this in view, the government has been continuously organising employment fairs across the state.
He further informed that the Departments of Industries and Employment Generation are jointly organising this Mega Job Fair in Sunam Udham Singh Wala.
The job fair will be held at Maharaja Palace, Sunam–Patiala Road, Sunam, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Candidates between 18 and 50 years of age are eligible to participate. Based on qualifications and experience, selected candidates will be offered monthly salaries ranging from Rs 12,000 to Rs 42,000.
More than 100 leading and reputed companies from Punjab and across the country will participate in the fair, offering over 3,500 job vacancies.

– Several other leading industrial units
The job fair offers employment opportunities for candidates possessing a wide range of educational and technical qualifications, including 10th, 12th, ITI (Boiler, Electrical and Mechanical trades), B.Sc. (Non-Medical), B.Com., Graduates, Diploma holders (Mechanical and Electrical), and CNC course certificate holders.
Cabinet Minister Aman Arora described the initiative as a significant and commendable step by the Punjab Government towards creating employment opportunities for the youth.
He urged all eligible candidates to bring their original educational certificates and other required documents while attending the fair so that participating companies can make on-the-spot job offers based on their qualifications and suitability.
