On Wednesday, Deputy Commissioner Mahendra Pal held a meeting with officials from the relevant departments regarding the preparations for the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, which will be held in the district from September 17th to October 17th. He directed the officials to prepare a timely outline of all activities to be organized during the campaign and ensure their effective implementation.
He stated that the main objective of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan is to ensure public participation, public service, and access to government schemes and services for eligible beneficiaries. He urged the officials to involve as many citizens as possible in the campaign and to educate eligible people about the benefits of government schemes. Deputy Commissioner Mahendra Pal informed that various service activities will be organized in the district during the campaign.
These will include painting and speech competitions for students, in which they will showcase their talents and present ideas related to service, good governance, and development. Furthermore, stories of service and development will be effectively conveyed to the public through street plays.
Deputy Commissioner Mahendra Pal directed the officials to ensure maximum public participation in all activities and to maintain better coordination between departments in organizing the programs. He said that the objective of the campaign should not be merely organizing events, but rather to truly connect the public with government services and schemes. He added that this month-long campaign will conclude with the Jan Sevak Mahakumbh.
