Four players from Punjab included in Indian junior men’s hockey team; Bathinda’s Sukhvir Kaur gets a place in junior women’s team
Punjab’s hockey players have once again made the state proud for the upcoming Junior Asia Cup. Four players from Punjab have got a place in the Indian junior men’s hockey team, while a player from Bathinda has been selected for the Indian junior women’s hockey team.
The Junior Asia Cup will be held in China from August 30 to September 13 in both men’s and women’s categories. The inclusion of five players from Punjab in the selection of Indian teams for this big international tournament is a matter of pride for the state.
Four Punjabi players in Indian junior men’s team
Hockey Punjab President Nitin Kohli and General Secretary Amrik Singh Pawar, while sharing information about the selected players, said that four players from Punjab have been included in the Indian junior men’s hockey team.

Manmeet Singh Rai — Khusropur
Lavanur Singh — PAP Jalandhar
Gursewak Singh — Round Glass Academy
