Ludhiana | Punjab Government Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian and Culture and Tourism Advisor Deepak Bali announced that four shows of the play ‘Hamare Ram’ will be held at the Dr. Manmohan Singh Auditorium of Punjab Agricultural University on September 25-26. Famous actor Ashutosh Rana will play the role of Ravana in it. This show will be completely free.
Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian said that on September 25-26, the show ‘Hamare Ram’ will have two shows each at PAU’s Dr. Manmohan Singh Auditorium – one at 2:00 pm and the other at 6:00 pm.
Minister Mundian requested the entire Ludhiana residents to definitely watch this show as renowned artists are participating in it. He said that famous actresses will play their respective roles in the live show on the history and life of Shri Ram Ji.
Culture and Tourism Advisor Deepak Bali, while giving detailed information about the ‘Hamare Ram’ show, said that Punjab is the birthplace of Sanatan and the entire intellectual journey of Rigveda, Ramayana, Upanishads, Puranas and Mahabharata began from the land of Punjab.
Bali said that just as the government celebrated the 350th anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib, the 650th anniversary of Guru Ravidas Ji, and also dedicated an evening to Lord Shiva, similarly, ‘Hamare Ram’ is now being organized.
Advisor Bali said that Ramayana is a better way of looking at our lives which inspires us to live a good life. He said that for the first time, the complete Ramayana is being presented in this way through the play ‘Hamare Ram’ in which all four episodes – Aranya Kand, Love-Kush Kand, Sundar Kand and Yudh Kand have been shown.
He said that Ramayana tells how a son should follow the father’s orders and how Lord Rama sent Mother Sita out of Ayodhya after listening to a washerwoman. It teaches the way of life in society.
Deepak Bali said that 41 shows of ‘Hamare Ram’ have been organized by the Honorable Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann across Punjab. The first show started from Mohali and gradually these shows have been held in different parts of Punjab.
Advisor Bali said that India’s famous drama artist and writer, a very learned personality Ashutosh Rana is playing the role of Ravana in this and Rahul K. Bhuchar is playing the role of Lord Ram. He said that this is an amazing live show that has never been seen before.
He said that when Lord Rama meets Luv-Kush, when he goes on a 14-year exile, the dialogue between Maharaj Dasharatha and Lord Rama, and when Ravana dies, the dialogue between Ravana and Lakshmana – all these are very emotional moments that tell us what things are important and necessary in life.
Advisor Bali said that in any part of India, a ticket for this play costs ₹10,000 per person, but here, to promote Sanatan and teach people a better way of life, it is being shown free of cost by the Honorable Chief Minister Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mann. All the expenses are being borne by the Punjab Government.
Deepak Bali said that people can get passes from their respective constituency MLAs, District Presidents, Traders Commission office bearers, Sanatan Sewa Samiti office bearers, District Administration and also from Book My Show. All passes are free, you will not have to pay a single penny.
Bali said that earlier this play was seen by Honorable Arvind Kejriwal Sahib. After watching it, he said that he wanted the people of Punjab to definitely watch this play. Watching it would have meant reciting the entire Ramayana.
Deepak Bali appealed to journalists, officers, MLAs and ministers to take their families, parents, elders and children.
Advisor Bali also thanked Vijay Kumar Sharma, National President Sanatan Seva Samiti under whose guidance and inspiration all this is happening.
