Chandigarh , October 17 – With the strength of people’s trust , resolve of good governance and commitment towards people’s welfare, the state government has completed two years of its third consecutive term in Haryana. Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini thanked the people of the state on this occasion and said that the government is fulfilling the trust with which the people have entrusted the responsibility of service to the government with complete loyalty , transparency , sensitivity and accountability. He said that our politics is not for power , but for service. The expectations of 2 crore 80 lakh citizens of the state are our priority and it is our resolve to take Haryana to new heights of development , equal opportunities and people’s welfare.
The Chief Minister was addressing a press conference in Chandigarh to mark the completion of two years of the state government’s third term . Education Minister Mr. Mahipal Dhanda and Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Mr. Shyam Singh Rana were also present on the occasion. On this occasion, he also unveiled a booklet based on the achievements of the government in the last two years.
Targeting the opposition , the Chief Minister said that those who had declared Haryana as number one during his tenure are not digesting the real progress and changing image of the state today. During his time, Haryana was number one , but it was number one in terms of bribery , nepotism , fear , corruption and regionalism. Recommendation and bribery prevailed in jobs instead of merit. There were scams from the bottom to the sky. Such a regime pushed back the development of the state and cheated the people of the state. During the 10 years of his government, only one area of the state was developed and the rest of Haryana was neglected. During his tenure, gas cylinders were available after three days , Haryana was number one in this regard. It was number one in false promises. They used to say that they would provide electricity for 24 hours , but Haryana was number one in terms of getting electricity for 4 to 5 hours. This is the reason why the conscious Haryanvi people, by deciding for change, showed them the way out of power.
While in power, they did not even meet the people , today Congress leaders are roaming the streets .
Taking a dig at the Congress leaders, the Chief Minister said that today some people are roaming on the streets and trying to reach out to the people , but when they were in power , they did not even like to meet the common people. He said that at that time they could smell the sweat of the people. The Chief Minister alleged that due to the wrong policies of the Congress, the people had to face hardships and the people have given their answer.
