Chandigarh , October 5 – Haryana players who returned after performing brilliantly in the Asian Championship held in Japan were warmly welcomed and felicitated by Minister of State for Sports Shri Gaurav Gautam at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi on Monday . He welcomed the players by garlanding them. During this, he said that Indian players have done a brilliant job in the Asian Games and have made the country proud by winning a total of 85 medals. Out of these, Haryana players have won a total of 32, including 14 gold , 9 silver and 9 bronze medals.
Minister of State for Sports Mr. Gaurav Gautam said that the players of the state have made Haryana’s sports power proud by winning these medals. He personally met the players and appreciated their achievements and assured them of all possible cooperation in the future as well. He said that the entire state is proud of this achievement of the players . It is the result of the sports policies and schemes being implemented by the Chief Minister of Haryana Mr. Naib Singh Saini that sports and players in the state are continuously progressing. He is confident that in the future also the players will perform better and bring glory to the state.
Haryana’s 32 medals are proof of the state’s sporting prowess
Sports Minister Mr. Gaurav Gautam congratulated the players and said that the entire Haryana is proud of these players who have brought glory to the tricolor on the international stage. He said that the 14 gold medals show that the players of Haryana do not just take part in competitions , but enter the field with the intention of winning. He said that the players have achieved this position on the strength of their hard work , discipline and dedication . Behind these players, their parents , trainers and sports institutions also have a big role. The Minister also congratulated all the parents and coaches and said that the government stands firmly with the players. Sports Minister Mr. Gaurav Gautam interacted with the players and inquired about their journey , performance in the competition and further preparations. He said that it is not only the responsibility of the government but the duty of the entire society to honor the players who win medals .
