Chandigarh, August 30 – Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Sh. Harvinder Kalyan, on Sunday, listened to Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi’s monthly radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’ at Karna Lake, Karnal.
On the occasion, Sh. Kalyan said that Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’, broadcast on the last Sunday of every month, highlights important issues of social concern while also recognising individuals doing remarkable work in different fields.
He said that in today’s programme, the Prime Minister highlighted issues including a drug-free India, cleanliness, environmental conservation, women empowerment, the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, innovation and encouraging farmers to adopt new crops. The Prime Minister also called upon citizens to actively participate in these initiatives.
The Vidhan Sabha Speaker said that ‘Mann Ki Baat’ has emerged as an effective platform for highlighting the positive efforts and achievements of citizens across the country. He urged the people of Haryana to imbibe the Prime Minister’s message and actively contribute towards drug prevention, cleanliness, environmental conservation and nation-building.
