CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Administration has finalized its official schedule for the 2026 Independence Day celebrations, assigning top ministers and local leaders to host flag-hoisting ceremonies across the state. According to the official circular, Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini will headline the festivities by unfurling the national flag in Hansi, while other district-level ceremonies will be led by Members of Parliament (MPs), Cabinet Ministers, and key senior public officials.
To ensure strong grassroots integration, local Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs), Zila Parishad Chairmen, city Mayors, and municipal public representatives will directly oversee functions at the sub-divisional grounds and urban local bodies. Security and administrative preparations have been heavily ramped up across all designated venues to ensure seamless coordination for the August 15 events.
