Patiala, July 21:
With the aim of providing maximum employment opportunities to the youth, Patiala Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Agarwal today held a high-level meeting with the heads of various government departments, universities, colleges, ITIs and polytechnic institutes at the District Administrative Complex to review the preparations for the regional mega job fair to be held in Mohali.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner said that providing employment to the youth is the top priority of the district administration. He directed the District Industries Centre to collect maximum vacancies in coordination with local industries and corporate establishments.
Dr. Himanshu Agarwal asked all the universities, colleges, ITIs and polytechnics to activate their placement cells and ensure maximum registration of eligible students, final year students and diploma holders. He also directed the Regional Transport Office to make necessary transport arrangements from Patiala to Mohali for the convenience of the candidates attending the job fair.
The Deputy Commissioner said that there is no dearth of talent and skills among the youth of Patiala and this mega employment fair is a golden opportunity to directly connect them with leading employment institutions. He asked all the departments and educational institutions to work in mission mode and take coordinated action to make this fair a success.
The district administration has appealed to all the eligible youth and job seekers of the district to get maximum benefit from this mega job fair by registering through their respective educational institutions.
