Patiala, July 21:
The Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage, being conducted by the Heritage Service Organization of the Punjab Government, was flagged off from Dhobi Ghat in Patiala city today by Patiala MLA Ajitpal Singh Kohli. On this occasion, Constituency Coordinator Harvinder Pal Singh Vinti, Jasbir Singh Bittu, MC of Ward No. 51 Kiran Ahuja and MC of Ward No. 46 Jagtar Singh Tari were present.
On this occasion, the devotees were very excited during the yatra. They thanked Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Ajitpal Singh Kohli MLA Patiala for this special initiative of the government.
MLA Ajitpal Singh Kohli said that this yatra is for three days, where food and accommodation are arranged in good hotels. It also goes to Jallianwala Bagh, Ram Tirath Mandir, Durgiana Mandir, and Wagah Border. The entire expenditure of this pilgrimage is being borne by the Punjab government, no money is being taken from any devotee. He said that till now countless devotees have done the pilgrimage and lakhs of devotees are continuously contacting the leaders of the concerned area to whom this yatra is being organized. He said that the government is also thanking the people of the state for their cooperation and support for this initiative.
On this occasion, MLA Ajitpal Singh Kohli said that this scheme launched by the Punjab government is a big initiative for the people associated with religious faith. Through this scheme, devotees are getting an opportunity to visit various holy religious places. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the government is committed for the welfare of every section and is continuously working to provide facilities to the people.
MLA Kohli extended his best wishes to the pilgrims going on the Yatra and wished them a pleasant and auspicious journey. The pilgrims also thanked the Punjab Government and MLA Kohli and appreciated this initiative.
