District Education Officer Patiala Shalu Mehra congratulated the successful students, their parents and teachers and honored the students by giving them certificates. She attributed this achievement to the hard work of the students, the support of the parents and the good guidance of the teachers. She said that the Science PDM, District Nodal Lecturer, School Principals, Key Resource Person, Teammates and Science Lecturer have made special contributions in the preparation and guidance of these students. She also honored the District PDMs Sandeep Kumar, Mandeep Kaur Antal, Sudhir Kumar, Deepak Kumar and District Nodal Lecturer Daulat Ram. Two Key Resource Persons Priya Kohli Sanaur Munde, Rajdeep Kaur NPC Patiala, four SPOCs Alpana Goyal, Manju Bala, Manjit Kaur, Sandeep Kaur and nodal lecturers of eight SOE schools who made special contributions in the preparation of this examination were also honored.
Deputy District Education Officer Secondary Patiala Dr. Ravinderpal Singh while interacting with the successful students and asking about their merit marks, motivated the teachers to cross 150 marks next year. Last year 71 students of the district had passed this exam, while this year this number has increased to 104. He said that out of these 58 students belong to non-SOE schools, 24 students belong to SOE and 22 students belong to Meritorious School Patiala. The SOE teachers who will be honored include Hardeep Kaur Bhunarheri, Ravdeep Kaur Feelkhana Patiala, Natalya Sood Balveda, Amardeep Singh Virk Mandaur, Nishu Bala Samana, Daljit Kaur Bhadso, Annie Thakur Nabha Munde and Samridhi Khullar.
Deputy District Education Officer Dr. Ravinderpal Sharma said that a total of 881 students of government schools across Punjab have passed the NEET 2026 exam, out of which 104 students belong to Patiala district alone. He said that this is a proud achievement for the district. PDM Mandeep Kaur thanked the District Education Officer for this initiative by the Patiala Saathi team and informed that the preparation for NEET is conducted by the IIT Kanpur team through the Saathi app under the ‘Saathi’ program. Students prepare for this exam by participating in online classes, mock tests, daily problem practice and doubt sessions under the guidance of their teachers. Dr. Rajneesh Kumar Principal Philkhana Patiala along with the District Education Officer, Saathi team, parents of the students and the present teachers expressed happiness on this wonderful achievement of the students.
