Solan/Shimla May 23 : A major road accident has come to light on the Chandigarh-Shimla four-lane (four-lane) highway near Solan. Here, a private bus suddenly lost control and overturned on the road. It is reported that the bus driver and a passenger were injured in this accident, who have been admitted to the regional hospital in Solan for immediate treatment.
Driver lost balance, bus overturned in other lane
According to reports, the private bus was going from Solan to Shimla. As the bus approached Salogra , about 10 km from Solan , the driver lost control of the vehicle due to high speed. The bus went out of control and overturned from one lane to the other, breaking the parapet in the middle of the road.
Fortunately, major loss of life was averted.
There were 10 to 12 passengers on the bus at the time of the accident. Fortunately, no other vehicle was passing by at the time the bus broke the parapet and went into the other lane, otherwise a major collision could have occurred and there was a risk of increased casualties.
Local people and highway team launched a relief operation
As soon as the accident happened, the local residents immediately reached the spot and started rescue operations to get the passengers out of the bus. Along with this, Himanshu Dubey, the manager of the four-lane road construction company, also reached the accident site immediately along with his team and lent a hand in the relief operations.
Police registered a case and started investigation.
The accident affected traffic on the highway for some time, which was later restored with the help of police and local people by moving the bus aside. The police administration has reached the spot and registered a case. According to the initial investigation, the accident occurred due to the driver losing balance and the police are investigating the real reasons for the accident in detail.
