Reaffirming the Punjab Government’s commitment to transparent, accountable and citizen-centric governance under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Chief Minister Sukhveer Singh today conducted a ‘Lok Milni’ programme at village Pedhni, where he interacted with local residents, heard their grievances and directed the concerned officials to ensure their prompt and time-bound redressal on a priority basis.
Addressing the gathering, OSD Sukhveer Singh said that, in line with the vision of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is according the highest priority to the timely disposal of public grievances and the efficient delivery of government services at people’s doorsteps. He said that the ‘Lok Milni’ initiative has emerged as an effective platform for direct public engagement, enabling citizens to bring their concerns before the Government and ensuring their expeditious resolution in a transparent manner.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman, Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation, Dalvir Singh Dhillon, said that the Punjab Government is working relentlessly to ensure the holistic development of villages across the State, including the Dhuri Assembly constituency. He said significant progress has been achieved in the sectors of education, healthcare, infrastructure, rural development and public welfare through transparent and people-oriented governance. He added that the Government remains committed to ensuring that the benefits of all welfare schemes reach every eligible beneficiary without discrimination.
Among those present on the occasion were Councillor Pushpinder Sharma; Sarpanch Amritpal Singh (Ghanauri Kalan); Manpreet Sharma, Chairman, Brahmin Sabha; Zila Parishad Member Harjinder Singh; Block Samiti Member Jagsir Singh Ladda; Sarpanch Makkhan Singh (Pedhni); Guri Punnawal, besides a large number of villagers.
