Chandigarh , September 6 — Haryana Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Mr. Krishan Kumar Bedi listened to the problems of the area residents at the PWD Rest House in Narwana on Sunday and issued necessary directions to the officials of the concerned departments for their resolution. He directed the officials to ensure that the problems of the common people are resolved on a priority basis and that the benefits of the government’s public welfare schemes are made available to eligible citizens in a timely manner.
On this occasion, Minister Shri Krishna Kumar Bedi announced that the “Seva Hi Sankalp Abhiyan” (Service is Resolution Campaign) will be launched in the state from September 17th to October 17th to commemorate Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s 25 years of public service. He stated that this campaign will further strengthen the spirit of service , good governance , public participation, and development across the state. Extensive preparations are underway to ensure its effectiveness and success. It is noteworthy that Minister Shri Krishna Kumar Bedi has been appointed the state-level in-charge for this campaign. The Minister stated that during the campaign, special public service programs will be organized at 180 locations across all 90 assembly constituencies . Through these programs, information about the state’s development work and public welfare schemes will be disseminated to the public.
The Minister stated that the primary objective of the Seva Hi Sankalp Abhiyan is to connect development works and public welfare schemes not solely to the government level but to connect them with the experiences of beneficiaries and the general public. He stated that the experiences of citizens who have benefited from various central and state government schemes will be brought to the public . The theme , “Beneficiaries’ Words , Stories of Change Will Come to the Forefront,” will highlight the positive changes government schemes have brought to the lives of ordinary citizens. He added that a three-day special celebration will also be held at Anganwadi centers during the Seva Hi Sankalp Abhiyan. He added that the experiences of citizens benefiting from various public welfare schemes, including the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana and Mission Indradhanush , will also be presented as “Story of Change.” The Lado Laxmi Yojana will also be expanded starting September 25th . Women with annual incomes up to ₹ 180,000 will now benefit from this scheme , bringing the total number of eligible women to approximately 1.7 million.
The Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment directed officials to ensure maximum public participation in all programs organized during the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. He stated that the purpose of the programs should not be merely organizing events , but rather ensuring that the benefits of government schemes and development work reach the last person in line. To achieve this, departmental officials should work in coordination with each other, identifying eligible beneficiaries and linking them to the schemes.
