Patiala, September 5:
As per the guidelines of Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab, special camps will be set up at all 1861 polling booths of Patiala district on 6th September 2026 (Sunday) under Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls 2026.
Giving this information, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal said that voters can avail various election related services by visiting these camps being set up at their respective polling booths from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. He informed that during this period, keeping in view the work of the second phase of Special Intensive Revision (notice phase/disposal of claims and objections) by the Election Commission of India, Roll Observer-cum-Commissioner Patiala Division Mr. Vinay Bublani, appointed for Patiala district, will visit these camps and take stock of the situation.
The District Election Officer further stated that all Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will be present at these special camps for the convenience of voters. Citizens can fill out the necessary forms for voter services and submit them to their BLOs on the spot; such as Form No. 6 (with required documents) for registering a new vote, Form No. 6A for registering as an NRI voter, and Form No. 8 for changing address, shifting, or correcting voter details. He appealed to all eligible voters in the district to take maximum advantage of these special camps on September 6th.
Dr. Himanshu Agarwal said that for any kind of information or assistance related to voter card, voter services and SIR process, apart from the helpdesks set up at the district and assembly constituency level, one can also contact the toll-free voter helpline number 1950.
