Chandigarh , October 15 – The Haryana Government has launched a special initiative with the aim of making the NCR region clean, safe and pollution – free .
According to a government spokesperson , it is time to immediately scrap 10- year-old diesel vehicles and 15 -year-old petrol vehicles. The old vehicles not only cause a lot of air pollution , but are also more expensive to run and unsafe from a safety point of view.
The government has appealed to vehicle owners to contribute towards a clean NCR and a green future by taking their 10 – year-old diesel and 15 -year-old petrol vehicles to the nearest “Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility Centres” (RVSF) for scrapping and adopting new clean vehicles. Safe scrapping has been arranged at the RVSF centres , which will lead to less pollution as well as reduction in road accidents and recycling of useful material of vehicles will be possible.
The spokesperson further said that if people do not take their old vehicles to RVSF centers as soon as possible and get them scrapped , then strict legal action can be taken as per the rules. To realize the dream of a clean NCR and a green tomorrow, the government has appealed to the citizens to scrap their old vehicles responsibly and cooperate in this campaign.
