Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO holds public meeting program at Miran Chak and Makhanwindi villages

25 gym sites dedicated to the people in Amritsar district, government committed to connecting the youth with sports
Amritsar, June 28 :– Punjab Public Works and Power Minister S. Harbhajan Singh ETO today held public meeting programs at Miran Chak and Makhanwindi villages of his assembly constituency, where he listened carefully to the problems and demands of the villagers and directed the officials of the concerned departments to take necessary action on the spot and ensure timely resolution.
The Cabinet Minister said that the Punjab Government is fully committed to providing government services to the people near their homes and to resolve every problem immediately. He said that the purpose of Lok Milni programs is to establish direct communication with the people and make government services more effective. He clarified that no kind of laxity or negligence will be tolerated in development works and every work related to public welfare is being completed on priority basis.
S. Harbhajan Singh ETO. said that today a total of 25 open gym sites are being dedicated to the people in different constituencies of Amritsar district. He said that each gym site has cost about Rs. 5 lakh. He said that the Punjab government is developing 3,500 new gym sites and 3,100 playgrounds across the state so that the youth can be connected with a healthy lifestyle and sports. He also said that today itself, the Honorable Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann has formally inaugurated 500 gym sites across the state from village Chand Baja in Faridkot.
The Cabinet Minister called on the Chief Minister S. Thanking Bhagwant Singh Mann, he said that dedicating the new flyover at Sultanwind Chowk to the people is a historic step in the development of Amritsar. He said that with the commissioning of this flyover, the pilgrims and common passers-by going from Amritsar to Tarn Taran and Gurdwara Sri Shaheed Sahib will get great relief from traffic jams and their journey will become easier, safer and time-saving.
He said that under the leadership of the Chief Minister, the Punjab government is continuously working to strengthen the infrastructure of the state, promote sports culture and give a new momentum to development in every sector, which is benefiting every section of the state.
Officers of various departments, Panch-Sarpanch, dignitaries and a large number of local residents were present on the occasion.
