Jalandhar: Keeping in mind the convenience of pilgrims and passengers, the Punjab government has started a new Volvo bus service from Jalandhar to Katra. This bus will leave Jalandhar every day at 9:15 am and reach Katra at 5:00 pm.
For a long time, the passengers going from Jalandhar to Katra were facing problems due to the lack of direct and comfortable bus service. Keeping in mind this demand and convenience of the passengers, the Punjab government has taken this initiative. With the start of the new Volvo bus service, the pilgrims going to Mata Vaishno Devi as well as other passengers will get relief. The fare of this service has been kept at Rs. 945. The government hopes that a large number of passengers will benefit from this new facility.
Jalandhar Bus Stand GM Maninder Pal Singh said that there was a long-standing demand of the passengers that a Volvo bus should be run from Jalandhar to Katra, in view of this, the Punjab government has provided this facility for the passengers. He said that the bus will leave Jalandhar for Katra Mata Vaishno Devi every day at 9:15 am, the fare of which has been fixed at Rs 945. He said that if there is a good response, more buses will also be run by the Punjab government.
