Patiala, July 21
To provide better civic services and ensure the prompt resolution of long-pending public grievances, the Patiala Municipal Corporation will organise a Special Public Facilitation Camp at the Municipal Corporation office this Friday under the leadership of Mayor Kundan Gogia.Officials from the Building Branch and the Water Supply & Sewerage Department will be present at the camp to address complaints and applications and make every possible effort to resolve issues on the spot.
Mayor Kundan Gogia said that the primary objective of the Municipal Corporation is to save citizens from making repeated visits to government offices by providing multiple civic services at a single location. He stated that matters related to building plans, No Objection Certificates (NOCs), approvals, and other technical issues, along with water supply, sewer blockages, new water and sewer connections, billing issues, and other public grievances, will be heard and addressed during the camp.
The Mayor further said that the Municipal Corporation is committed to providing transparent, efficient, and accountable governance. Officials have been instructed to treat every complaint seriously and resolve it immediately wherever possible. In cases where instant resolution is not feasible, a specific timeline will be set to ensure timely action.He appealed to residents facing issues related to the Building Branch, Water Supply, or Sewerage Department to make full use of this special camp. Citizens are requested to visit the camp with the necessary documents and register their grievances so that they can be resolved quickly and effectively.
Mayor Kundan Gogia added that similar Public Facilitation Camps will continue to be organised in the future to strengthen direct communication between the Municipal Corporation and citizens and to ensure timely, quality civic services for everyone. He expressed confidence that such initiatives would further strengthen public trust in the Municipal Corporation and accelerate the city’s development.
