Pepsu Road Transport Corporation (PRTC) Chairman Advocate Harpal Juneja has taken another big and important decision in the interests of the workers working through external organizations and contracts in PRTC and announced a 20 percent increase in the salaries of the employees during a meeting with ‘PRTC Contract Workers Azad Union 31/7’.
Let us tell you that the representatives of the union met Chairman Advocate Harpal Juneja regarding the long-standing demand for salary increase of the workers working through external organizations and contracts.
Understanding the seriousness of the matter during the meeting, Chairman Juneja said that it has been decided to increase the current salaries of the employees recruited after September 15, 2021 by 20 percent.
On this occasion, Chairman Harpal Juneja said that Chief Minister Mr. The Punjab government led by Bhagwant Singh Mann is very honest and pro-people in its approach towards its employees, which is committed to giving due rights to every regular and contract employee. Along with this, he said that Transport Minister Mr. Harpal Singh Cheema is also always thinking well about the future of the employees, due to whose instructions and support the long-pending demands of the department’s employees are being resolved on priority basis.
Chairman Harpal Juneja said that the matter regarding this salary hike was placed in the meeting of the Board of Directors of PRTC and as per the approval given by the board, the letter regarding the process of implementing the salary as per the rules has been handed over to the concerned employees during the meeting. He said, “These employees have an important contribution in the smooth running of PRTC services and keeping in mind their hard work and services, every possible effort will be made to protect their legitimate interests.”
The union representatives expressed their special gratitude to Chairman Advocate Harpal Juneja for increasing the salary by 20 percent. During this important meeting, Chairman Advocate Harpal Juneja, General Manager Patiala Depot Jatinderpal Singh Grewal, PRTC officials and union leaders Gurdhyan Singh, Janpal Singh, Bubbu Sharma, Darshan Singh, Ranjit Singh and other union representatives were present.
