During the foundation stone laying ceremony, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that he feels very honoured at the launch of this historic project. He said that this centre to be built in Naugaja will be an important place for students and researchers, where the life, Vani and message given to the society by Guru Ravidas Maharaj can be studied in detail.

The Chief Minister said that various activities will be organized at the centre to connect children with the teachings of Guru Ravidas Ji and his ideology. The young generation will be able to research on the life and works of Guru Ji. This will give the new generation in-depth knowledge about the great heritage of Punjab and the Sant tradition.

Bhagwant Mann also shared his thoughts related to the development of Punjab and the identity of the state. He said, “We want to make Punjab, not California.” The purpose of his statement was said to be to take Punjab to new lines of development by connecting it with its historical, cultural and social heritage.

He said that Punjab has a rich heritage of great Gurus, Saints and Pirs. Instead of just remembering this heritage, it is necessary to convey it to the new generation in a scientific and research-based manner. The study center can prove to be an important step in this direction.

Sri Guru Ravidas Ji gave the message of human equality, social justice and brotherhood. Special importance has been given to the thought of humanity and equality in his Vani. This center to be built in Naugaja can become an important platform to convey these ideas to students and researchers.

The Chief Minister said that the government is promoting such projects related to the heritage and history of Punjab, so that the younger generation of Punjab remains connected to its history and culture.
