Dhuri, :Under the Punjab Government’s flagship initiative of Mega Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs), large-scale interactions were organized across government schools in the district to enhance academic collaboration and student development.
As part of this initiative, Chairman of Zila Parishad Sangrur, Rachhpal Singh Bhullarherhi, participated in the Mega PTM and a parents’ workshop at Government Senior Secondary Smart School, Bhullarherhi. He reviewed the ongoing activities and interacted with parents, teachers, and students, while also sharing his insights on the importance of such engagements.
Addressing the gathering, Bhullarherhi stated that Mega PTMs are playing a pivotal role in strengthening the education system by fostering meaningful dialogue between parents and teachers. He emphasized that children are the most valuable assets of society and ensuring access to quality education is a collective responsibility.
He further highlighted that the Punjab Government has introduced transformative reforms in the fields of education and healthcare, aiming to build a strong foundation for future generations. Regular parent-teacher interactions, he noted, are instrumental in identifying students’ needs and ensuring their holistic development.
The initiative is also helping elevate the standard of education in government schools to match global benchmarks, with improved infrastructure and academic support systems.
During the Mega PTM, parents and teachers engaged in constructive discussions, creating a supportive environment for students’ academic and personal growth. Bhullarherhi remarked that students are like uncut diamonds who can be shaped into accomplished individuals through quality education and proper guidance.
He appreciated the dedicated efforts of teachers and the active participation of parents in making the initiative successful. Certificates of appreciation were also distributed to parents and teachers who have made significant contributions towards nurturing students.
Officials from the Education Department, school staff, parents, and a large number of students were present on the occasion.
