Gurdaspur: Rising water levels in the Ravi River have brought it close to the danger mark, triggering flood concerns in the border areas of Punjab’s Gurdaspur district. The swelling river has disrupted connectivity, leaving six villages isolated and prompting the administration to step up precautionary measures.
Officials said continuous rainfall and increased water discharge have significantly raised the river’s level, posing a potential flood threat to low-lying areas along the Indo-Pak border.
